Which strap on bow quiver
 

I've got a 64" ChekMate Kings Pawn I'd like to add a bow quiver. I have tried a Kwickee on it but can't abide the noise and rattle it makes when I shoot.

So far it looks like the Thunderhorn boa in black is the best value. I ain't big on paying extra for leather, will add that myself if I want to purty it up. Rather I'm all about function. But I'm happy to pay for quality.

Great Northern adjustable gets a good review as well. They say Selways are heavy, I don't care for the attachment system, from what I can see from pics. I want a rubber strap too, versus velco. And relatively easy on/off.

What do you use, what you like/dislike about them?

I really don't like bow quivers myself, but I do hear a good bit about them and have researched it a lot trying to find one I would like.

I don't like the Selway, at least not the rubber model--too heavy.

Thunderhorn and Great Northern get great reviews, but I haven't tried either one.

Eagle's Flight will most likely be the next one I try (if I try another)--gets good reviews, is small and light.

The reasons I don't like the things are because they really make my longbow feel awkward and out of balance, and it's something else to watch out for as far as noise goes.

I have a hunt I want to do that is going to pretty much require a bow quiver, and if I ever get it lined up I reckon I'll have to get used to one.....but until then, it's a Safari Tuff Arrowmaster for me.

My bow is relatively light. I shoot well with the bow quiver on, helps a ton on stability. I have a tendancy toward target panic, and that lil extra weight and balance actually helps me. I'm looking at the Eagle flight too, but I don't put as high a premium on light weight.

Agreed on the Selway. I let one got with a bow I sold years ago. It was the kind you had to take the string off, take the whole quiver apart to get it off the bow. Pita unless you intend it to be permanent. The way I travel (purposely being no more explicit) to and from many of my setups requires I carry bow and quiver separately.

Selway offers a "Quick Detach" version, but it's still a 2-piece.

I can appreciate the extra weight, but only if it's balanced. One of my bad habits is putting a death grip on the bow, which causes me to torque. I've modified my grip so I'm barely holding the bow, but if it's off-balance it makes me grip it and I start torqueing again.

I recently recieved an Eric Krewson BBO that's even lighter than my Crusader....man it's a shooter! I reckon I'm lucky--light mass weight bows don't seem to bother my shooting.

I vote for the Great Northern.Tried one on my longbow but I didn't like the feel.But it was well made and dead silent.
