arrow recommendation for bear kodiak
My grandfather recently gave me his bear kodiak which he bought new approximately 43 years ago. Does that sound right for this bow? I'm basing this on the fact that my uncle said he was 16 at the time and he's 59 now.
Anyway, I need an arrow recommendation for this bow. It's 60" and 48#. I've bee shooting it with some cedar arrows that Pap was using with a 2 blade bear broadhead. I've retired the remaining three arrows after three broke. I don't care if it's aluminum or carbon, but something in carbon express's lineup would be best since the local shop carries CX arrows and I can buy them individually.
Thanks.

A Carbon Express 150 should be alright...depends on your draw length. Leave full-length and tune it from there
btw...Bear stopped making the Kodiak in 1966. In '67,they came out with the Super Kodiak. Regardless of what it is,both bows are real nice shooters. If your bow was made in the sixties, the 1st number in the serial # is the year it was made. Post pic's of it if you have any

If you're pulling 28 inches and getting the full 45 lbs out of the bow, in aluminum arrows a 1916 would work...29 ich arrow with a 125 grain head.
If you go with 29 inch arrow and a heavier head [say 150 grains] then a 2016 would probably work also. I've experimented some with carbons but not much....I know I was shooting a Carbon Express 90 out of a 47 lb. hybrid longbow with a 175 grain point setup.
