Left wing, Right wing, Left helical, Right helical

I' m Confused. Could someone set me straight? If you are using left wing feathers do you use a left wing helical fletcher? I' m new to arrow making and all this left right feather stuff has me befuddled.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Rem, use your left wing feathers in a left wing clamp, and right wing in a right wing clamp.

Kip was right about using left wing fletches in a left wing clamp and same with the right. The wing is in reference to what side of the quill the fletchin is on. If you look at the back of the quill a left wing feather will have the feathers on the left side of the quill, and on the right side with a right wing feather. It doesn' t really matter whether you use left or right wing unless you' re shooting off your knuckles or such. Just as long as you use left wing feathers with a left helix and right wing feathers with a right helix and don' t mix wings on the same arrows. If you try to use a left wing feather in a right wing clamp, basicly what' ll happen is pressure won' t be applied correctly over the quill and you' ll have a lopsided feather.
