The Wheely's that is! I started with trad in 1966 and about 10 years ago I got into the compound craze. This weekend I took my Darton Recurve out to our lake house and shot several hundred arrows. I haven't had that much fun shooting in years, I shot out to 35 yards and I even surprised myself. I didn't have to worry if my pins were right, I didn't have to mess with the peep. I have dumped TONS of money on peripherals in the ten years. Not to mention new strings and cables every six months!
It's good to be back, I'm ridding myself of all the compound crap so I won't be tempted to shoot one of them when hunting gets tough! I'm even going to put my bow fishing real on one of my recurves, probably that Darton it's rigged to attach a stabilizer to it and it's 48# @ 28.
BTW, I'm building two long bows right now, both out of hickory one will be backed with bamboo it will be 60# @ 28" one be backed with raw hide 50 # @ 28"...

Good be be home again!

You gotta love something so fun that you shoot till you can't lift your arm anymore.
I was sitting all weekend tweeking a new compound and the thought came in my head on why am I doing this.
I am having a hard time letting go of the compound for the 2 weeks of rut. But every year, I kick myself because I had some easy trad. opportunities, that would make great trad trophies. For instance, this year, I had several nice 90-100" 6-8's within 20 yards of me but let em walk with the compound, but would drilled one if I had my longbow.
