Off to a good start

I bought a longbow,9#@16" for my gf's 3yr old grandson. He loves shooting it(but I still can't get him away from Spongebob) and it's starting to pay off

Awesome!!!

If you want to get him away from sponge Bob fold up a dollar bill and place it on the target. Make it challenging for him. And when he hits it give it to him. Its amazing how much focus a dollar can bring.

That's a good idea Bob...I'll have to try that. Hopefully next year,I'll be able to take him to some of the shoots. Now I have to find something for his grandma to shoot. Might as well make it a family thing:)

Excellent. I made my daughters some bows about two years ago. they were all gungho for about a year and now I almost have to twist their arms to come out and shoot with me. I think that puberty thing is messing with them. lol.

very cool I started my sons shooting 3 years ago. The oldest is 12 and he is pretty accurate. My 9 year olds are still more or less just playing. My 5 year old daughter is trying she can knock the arrow and pull it back sometimes she hits the target but mostly just the ground in front.
