Looks like a beauty...

Of course it will...I used a 45 pound recurve in the 60s and a Bear Whitetail circa 1975 set on 55 pounds from 1975-1995 or so...

btw...Welcome back...

It has for thousands of years.

Shes a beauty. 185!!, your screamin. What are you going to do with all that power?

Seriously however, I keep all my trad bows at 170-175. They seem to hit same POI when I do that.

RE: Will +/- 185fps kill a whitetail?

Big...I have no idea how fast it is (nor do I care). I was just funnin' around. I did (for S&G's) run my Mohawk LB through a chrono a few weeks back. 173fps. Same poundage, same arrows, so this one is probably somewhere around there.

Will - I've only shot 50 or so arrows through her, but enough to know I like it a lot. My first ever recurve.

I've currently got 2 Mohawk LB's, but one of them has gotta go. No room in the stable!:)

RE: Will +/- 185fps kill a whitetail?

I've killed 4 deer with my Osage stick bow with Flint heads and cedar....

I was getting 180 fps out of it short drawing it at 26 inches...off the knuckle.....

Of course it will kill :D

Ahole in the vitals with enough penetration...makes the animal bleed....whether its a RAGE head orFlint.....when you make a hole..the animal bleeds...

I'm doing a traditional section to my hunting video in 09 and I'm really pumped about it. 35 years old this year...and getting back to my roots...hard on my shoulders that darn stick bow!

Where the heck you been man??? That is beauty of recurve. Hope to see you with a pic of this bow laid across a whitetail this fall. I'm sure you will pull through.

Theoretically it will kill one, but with you behind it who knows

I killed my first deer when I was 11 years old. It was a 45# bow but I bet my draw length was all of 20".

Can't pick on my yard and it bother me:D

For one thing, you don't need much curb appeal, when your neighbors are on 24ac./24ac./10ac. and 17ac. . Who's gonna see it?

And the other part is......I probably have more deer in my yard every night than most have in their food plots.[&:]

Don says nice bow and I say so 2. He dug out his trad take down recurve yesterday and was shooting it. He is getting interested in trad again.

All you have to do is clamp your Lone Wolf to your utility pole and your set.;)

Beautiful bow, Jeff. Looks like you're serious about this.

Very nice looking bow. You will have no problem taking a whitetail with it.

Jeff.

You know you have to be shooting atleast 300fps and using ultra lite arra's to kill a thin skinned lite boned animals such as deer:D:D:D

Real nice lookin bow.;)

Great looking bow Jeff. I wish you much luck this year. I've been shooting mine more and more and I wouldn't be surprised if I hunt with it this year. It's a nice change of pace for me.

Nothing to worry about just a string and an arrow.......

Congrats again on your new bow and to answer your question.......185fps +/-....um....YEP!!
