Ok here is the story, I went and picked up these 3 bows this evening and cleaned them up a bit. The guy I got them from is letting me have one if I sell the other two on ebay for him or he is going to charge me 125 for all three. First off I need you guys to tell me if any of these bows are worth a crap. Second, if yall know how to date these bows that would be great.
First bow is a Kodiak Magnum, it is 52" and 42# it is in great shape with no stress lines or anything on the limbs, the tips are in great shape the arrow rest needs replaced. Has a string
Secon bow is a Polar it is 62'' 42# it has some lines on the limbs, there is 1 small crack on the grip on the backside. Arrow rest needs replaced. Has a string
Third bow is a Grizzly, it is cool i think. It is 62" 45#. It has what looks like a factory camo job, its green with some black and brown strips across it. The grip is leather and all cracked up, arrow rest need replaced. No string.
Here is my question is the 52" bow too short for me to shoot, I have a 29" draw. Also with the crack in the grip of the polar is it still safe to shoot, it also has some lines running down the limbs I have done a little research and get the impression that these are from normal use and not a terrible thing, is that right. Also the grizzly has a few chips in the paint with wood showing underneath, it is still safe right.
There is a star stamped into the wood on both the polar and grizzly, does anyone know what they mean?
Here are some pics sorry for all of the questions but I would like to pick the right bow.
