Ok with the bow just about complete.

I think it is a good time to put up the official sign up thread for those who want to have a turn with the bow.

Maybe Chad (LBR) can make this a sticky.

I will run the sign up for3 weeks which should give everyone a chance to sign up.

After that I will put all the names in a hat and draw them in order of who gets it when.

Do not worry if you don't get a chance to hunt with it this time around as all those who don't get a chance to take it out in the woods will get another crack at it later on.

Of course there will be a few little rules.

The main rule is if you are thinking of signing up to get a free bow and not passing it onthen forget it, there will be reprocussions (sp) if the bow is not forwarded on;)

Ok each person will get the bow for 2 weeks to use and hopefully not abuse:D

After 2 weeks the write their name and screen nameon the limb with afine point permanant marker (Sharpie)also if you have been lucky enough to take an animal with it put that on as well.
IE Bubba Gooseman, (Goosie) 1 boar, 2 rabbits.

They will then write a story and post pics of themselves with the bow and with any animal taken.

You will also be responsable for the shipping and insurance to the next person.

If for any reason the bow breaks send it back to me for repairs and I will resend it to the next person. Of course this does not extend to strings.

There might be some more minor rules that I will put up when I think of them.

Another one always use a stringer when stringing and un stringing the bow.

an idea ive had

isto do a bow exchange for a couple weeks....everybody that wants to participate pack a bow up.... and send it toa buddy...so we can all shoot each others bows.
get a list of what bow your sending and to who...

not sure how realistic it is to do in the real world...but id like to think we can trust eachother.

props to you for this idea man. ive been thinking about getting into trad hunting. ill have to try it out a little bit this year and maybe get one from ya.

What ever happened with this? I'm getting back into the forums as season gets closer again. I've harvested deer with compounds and crossbows... next thing to try is traditional. been shootin the recurve well, by the time the bow gets here, i will at least bunny hunt with it!! Put me on the list if there is still room :D

The bow is going to be shipped to Finch tomorrow. tried to ship it today but the PO was closed because of the holiday!

Put it this way Steve, I was standing in my driveway with the tailgate down loading my gear to go hunting. On the way to hunting I was stopping by the PO to drop a few things off...... something just clicked and I had to open the box back up and sign her.... I guess its BowHuntingFOOL for a reason!!!!!!!!!!!!! :hit::D:D:D:D

Tarver Rd. is behind me less than a 1/4 mile away. That's a nice quiet area there.

The pass around is back home with Kanga. I took him for breakfast Friday morning, he's still around, just having a few health issues.. ya'll keep Ole Russ in your prayers.

I feel really stupid for asking this now, but I guess I can't try the bow anymore?
