I have the X150 50@28in. its a little less money than the 200 but I love the bow and shoots it great. Martin makes a great product for the money. Dont know much about the Montana but im sure someone her does.

RE: Fred Bear Montana or Martin X-200
I have never shot the X-200 but I shoot a 50# Montana and really like this bow from the first time I shot it. The bow sends my 600+ grain arrows down range with authority and great accuracy! For me this bow shot better than bows 2X the cost right off the shelf! No hand shock and quiet as a church mouse! The ONLY thing I didn't like was the leather used for the grip, I put a lace up leather grip on which works perfect, took about a half hour and cost about 15$ for everything needed in a kit, plus I still have 2 other pieces of leather for grips that came in the kit from Mike Archery Leather!

RE: Fred Bear Montana or Martin X-200
I shot the x-200 and it shot well for me. my first time shooting a real trad bow and I was doing about 1'' groups at ten yards. I liked the way it felt, but wanted to try others before buying. I think now its down to that bow and a the Bear Grizzly.
