Application time again

Im just curious what everybody's plans are for hunting this year, its just about time to start turning in applications again.
We'll be hunting Elk and Deer here in utah, and putting in for the bonus point for moose..cant get behind on those. Clints going to NewBrunswick for black bear in October.

I plan on getting my archery only (AO1) tag along with hogs and turkey as usual. Bear might be a possilility later on, but Elk is out of the question. Too many hunters competing for too few tags at an outlandish price. It would probably be cheaper for me to get a non-resident lic and tag in another state.

I'll send my deer and antelope fees to Colorado for PP's ( I have 5 deer and 4 antelope right now ) and wait another year before trying to draw a good unit.

Other than that, I don't put in for many draws. If I elk hunt, its Colorado OTC tags ( I would like to go to Oregon or Idaho again too )and of course I'll be putting in for a Kansas archery tag again. This fall will see me going to Kansas ( I cannot imagine not drawing a tag again ) and I am half set to go to Wisconsin - a buddy I know invited me up and I think I can get my Dad to go. Father and son archery hunt in Wisconsin - I like the sound of that a LOT.

2 out of state hunts is all I can do in one year, more than I should, and I aint got a lot of spare change to put in for a lot of different draws. However, New Mexico elk is something I need to start putting in for.

Don't have any applications to fill out here in MS, but we only have whitetail, turkey, and hogs (in some places) as far as big game goes. I have a moose hunt in Canada planned, and open invitaitions for hogs, deer, and elk if I can come up with the funds for the trip--why couldn't I have been born rich instead of so good looking? <img src=icon_smile_dissapprove.gif border=0 align=middle>

PS To those of you that actually know what I look like, you don't have to comment on that last remark!

Canadian black bear hunt coming in Sept, and our deer season opens then too. I'll put in for KY elk again this year. In 2003 I hope to put in for Utah mule deer. I've never been real lucky w/raffles & such, so I'm sure I won't draw the 1st time on that. Does Utah have a preference point system Di?

I just got my turkey tag in the mail yesterday. This is the first year they've opened Kendall County for turkey...and I drew first season. Just put in for an additional tag for any of the other seasons (we have 5 total, 5 days each).

Other than that...I've still got untill January 17th for deer in IL.
