Outback Supreme Single Bevel broadhead - first impressions

Dull as all get out, got that funky wing thing going, heavy blades.

So I get out my KME sharpener tonight. I have sharpened Magnus, Steel Force and Zwickey No Mercy single bevels with it and I go to work on the Outback Supreme.

I was actually amazed at how easy the steel came away, without the dips/pits and difficulty I had with the Zwickey No Mercy heads. It took maybe 3-4 minutes on each side. I didn't work really hard on them, and I didn't strop them and I got them pretty dang sharp. In fact, I've sharpened heads all summer and never cut my finger until tonight and I layed my thum open pretty well with this head.

Now, how does it penetrate? How does it fly? How will it handle some abuse?

I dunno ....... but as far as sharpening I was very impressed how easy it was and on resharpenable heads thats probably the hardest thing to do.

Yep and no fancy packaging either but thats their way of keeping costs down and really for $4.00 Aus per head do really expect them to be razor sharp.;)

I bought my 160 grainers off of ebay. Haven't yet had a chance to get them truly sharp, as I attempted to change the angle to 25* with the sb broadhead pro, no dice, and just recently received the ashby recommended file just haven't yet had a chance to go to town with it.

How are they for shootingcompared our 3 and 4 blades Russ? Would it require retuning if I went from my Phantoms to these? During off season I may give them a try.Burnie is supposed to be hunting varmints this weekend with his boom stick...guess since it's his place we will let him carry a bow.;)
