I went down south for a quick one morning hunt. Made a make shift blind with tumble weeds and brush. At first light, I hit the antlers a bit and waited. After about an hour, I hit the antlers agian and in about 10 min. I have a spike in front of me putting on a show. In the brushI seeabig bodied8 pointeyeingthe spike. They walk towards each other at about 30 yards from me. As the 8 point turns to run off the spike, I give a grunt to see if he wants to fight. Thats all it took. He walked right for me. Gets within 15 yards and turns broad side. He then turns and looks away from me. It was almost like he was trying to get killed. I could not have asked for a better set up.

That deer doesn't look young. His face shows some miles,I'd be proud of the old veteran...he does resemble the Rev!
I'm looking forward to hunting somewhere different with new friends! Maybe my dad will be home with some wood to bring you by then!
