I said I never would again, but I did...

I pulled the trigger on a new custom longbow. The Bowyer is not very well known and very rarely takes orders. He likes to keep a very low profile. He recently had one of his bows raffled off on a charity auction for $1,600.

I was able to shoot one though through a friend and was stacking arrows like you would not believe (I even have witnesses :)). It is pretty speedy for it's profile, is quiet and has virtually no handshock. I offered to buy my friends bow on the spot, but he refused.

The bow will be 58#'s at 29" andwill be 64". That is basicallythe only criteria I am allowed to give him. I have no idea what the types of woods being used are.

The bow has a slight string follow unstrung and a very very mild reflex/deflex to it. It strings up as a "D".

Really looking forward to getting it. But unfortunately I will need to take inventory and sell a couple of my bows. :(

I sometimes follow the principle of asking for forgiveness rather then asking for permission.
