HUNTING ARROW WEIGHT

Guys,

Like to get some suggestions from experiance. I know this is a wide open and much talkedtopic- what is a good TOTAL arrow weight including point/ broadhead for a 43 LB reflex/deflex longbow. I hunt whitetails by the way...

I am not asking about arrow spine per inch, etc... Im looking for what most people are having good penetration with - getting them to shoot straight is a differant topic - just so the thread does not take that turn..

I think 10 gpi is a great compromise between speed and momentum, so for your bow, 430 grains total.

43 lbs, not real sure, id assume 450 and up. I shoot 600-650 grain arrows out of my hunting bows, but they are all over 58 lbs. This year I'm using a 650 grain arrow out of my 68lb r-d long bow.
