Rubber band trick?

Isn't there a little "trick" you can do with a rubber band and a matchstick to create a little arrow holder for a longbow (to keep the arrow from falling off, while on stand?

I'm going to order a cheap holder, tomorrow....but I'd like to use something until it comes in.

Thanks....and good luck to all you guys going after them with your trad gear.

Yea, you can take a rubber band, small thin one and double it and wrap one side around around the arrow and riser and hold the other two loops around the arrow and when you draw, just touch it and it will fall off.

yep...just put the band around the riser then use a match stick to hold the ends of the band together, when you draw the arrow back itwill pull the band back and pulling it off the stick...Thats how I used to do it....
Iam cutting up my deer today and will try to post a pic tonight....
