Soveriegn Ballistik

I got the ballistik that I traded for and have finally had a chance to put some arrows through her. It is VERY quick but has good manners for a fast bow. I don' t have quick access to a chrono but it is noticably faster than my other bows and I get about 2" more penatration on my block target than with my other bows of the same weight.It has a nice dark stained maple riser and maple limbs with some nice grain.The string will bite your bow arm if you get a little sloppy with the form but overall it shoots nice.The looks of the static limbs just doesn' t set well with me and I will probably trade the bow toward another chek-mate when I get the chance but overall I have to give this bow a THUMBS UP Well guess thats my .02 on the ballistik

Glad you got to shoot it! I came to about the same conclusions you did, just that the draw weight was a little to much. This bow didn' t convince me to switch from my longbows to a recurve:D. Now that I got my Lil Magnum it' ll take alot for me to make the switch. Then when my new Crusader comes in, wellll that might drive the nail in the recurve coffin:D

PB I agree that I also like the way a recurve looks better than a longbow. I guess I just got spoiled by the feel of the other chek-mate recurves hangin in the rack.At the moment there are 4 chek-mates in the other room and 3 more due in any day now.I just couldn' t get past the static tips on the ballistik.Rich it wasn' t my intention to use my post as a trading tool as I don' t want Chad aka LBR steppin on my neck lol:D Over all the ballistik was nice I just LOVE my chek-mates:D

Nice bow. Give it a bit of time before you trade it. Some bows are like fine wine, an acquired taste.;)
