The compound will if match with proper arrow weight deliver almost twice the kinetic energy of our bow's, thus they can utilize tackle that is not as properly matched as ours. Not slamming anyone or trying to cause arguments just the fact's, based on Dr. Ashby's findings and my own.
Not starting a fight, but Ashby's findings are not based on Kinetic energy. In fact he states that penetration is not related to kinetic energy, but is related to momentum. Even with momentum, there is a difference in penetration with arrowsshot with the same amount momentum but of different weights (heavier arrows delivering more penetration).
