What does it being shorter affect?

Forgiveness? Speed?

Forgiveness, finger pinch, and usually how smooth it draws (especially for longer draw lengths).

ditto that. When I buy a bow tillerd to 28", it stacks like crazy at my draw length. That is why I make all my bows tillerd to 30". That is the ones I make for me.

What is your budget?$200,$300?$100?? There's a guy on Ebay often called Stickbow. He makes a very good R/D longbow for around $235 if I remember. There are few others I know an old bowyer down in New mexico thatmakes some beautiful 60" recurves for Around $230-$250.New. Either are real good values.let me know and i'll hook you up with them direct. There's a guy in western Pa that makes T/D recurves in the same price range.Tim Duvall in south Central Pa makesa one piece longbow around $235.i can also hook you up with him.

Hi all. I grew up when Howard Hill was alive, so you know I love longbows. I love recurves too, especially for target shooting. You cant beat a good lightweightLB for stalking around in the woods. Theres a romance there that the recurve cant match in my opinion. And for me, getting quick shots off, its the longbow. Tox
