Ashby Broadhead?

Anyone hear of the Ashby designed broadhead that ABS is supose to sell this fall? From what I hear it will be a screw in 300 grain two bladed, stainless steel broadhead. Cost is suppose to be $30 A PIECE. [:-]

Shew........I might consider them if I ever get to hunt water buffalo, but otherwise my Ace, Ribtek, WW, etc. are looking better all the time!

I don't mean that as a slight to Dr. Ashby--talked with him on the phone once or twice, seems like a super nice fellow. Even got some signed pictures of him posing with dead critters (rhino, zebra, and some kind of antelope) and one of his purpleheart arrows (we did a little trade). I just don't see me needing a 300 grain broadhead for anything other than water buffalo.

Even for Water Buffalo I may think twice. I can get 9 Grizzly's for that price.

From whatI have heard Ashby is not getting royalties for his help.

I heard about that head he helped design. Its basically a copy of the modified grizzly he talks about. I didn't think it was 300grns. And I don't see them being $30 a piece, maybe for 3 but not for 1. By the way did anyone see his article in traditional Bowhunter this issue. Very good one on single bevel heads and how they work.

No I have not seen it yet:)

Waiting for a certain person who shall remain nameless to send me a copy:D

I heard it was $30 for each head, kinda like the Silver Flames but a bit more expensive!

Actually, I think silver flames are going up also.

I cannot for the life of me understand a head being that expensive.

I think that's about $30 per head :)

Interestingly, they also now sell a single bevel broad head pro sharpener. May be just the ticket for the grizzlies.
