4" feathers

Yesterday I bought 4" feathers. The guy at my shop didn't have any 5" so I figured I'd try the 4s. When I got home I cut and fletched 1 arrow, screwed in a Snuffer and went shooting. The arrow flew great. I was worried I needed 5" feathers. Does anyone else use 4" feathers?

I've used them in the past with success. I prefer the 5" though.

I've always used 4" feathers. I'm also shooting 4 fletched too though.

I've used them before, and if I ever run out of 5" (got quite a few) I'll probably switch over, just because I can get two 4" cuts from most full length feathers. I do prefer a 4-fletch with 4" though, especially with broadheads--just in case I really blow my release, a little extra feather on the shaft helps.

4-4” here. But I do shoot some 3-4” and they still fly very well. I just like the look of that “X” sticking in my target.

Ive used 4" feathers for years. I just recently (few years ago) started using 5". You will probably see no real difference, that is if they are offset like you would have for your 5 and your release is good.".
