Hi all

Been bow huntin for along time, but started out on compound bows. Ive been facinated with the recurve, just recently got one. It is a Red Wing t/d hunter, 65# pull, seems like a nice bow, still have to get arrows for it, and alot of practice.....lol. I have a 30" draw, but cant seem to find a proper arrow chart to get them, any suggestions on arrows?

RE: Hi all

If you go for XX75 go with a 31 inch 2317, heavy good hunting arrow.

Not a problem, shoot straight and just wait the traditional ride is fun and very very addictive.

RE: Hi all

65# is a bunch of wieght. Can't say anything, I have a 66#@29" black widow longbow. I only shoot it about 40 arrows and put it up every week.

I have been shooting 7595 gold tip trads with the wieght system. I shoot a 200gr point and 100gr of brass wieghts attached to the front. I have 20% FOC and arrow comes in at 640gr. I like at least 10gr/# of draw.

Matt/PA turned me on to this wieght system by gold tip, and I love it. You can add wieght to the front until you get proper arrow flight and then add wieght to both front and back equally to get your wieght to what you want and not change the spine. I think Matt has a 3d setup that is light and fast and a hunting setup that is heavy.

RE: Hi all

Check out the chart at Arrows by Kelly. That is about the best chart IMO out there for traditional IMO. It is still a starting point however.

XX75 2216's would work as well. I'm shooting 2216's on my setup and I'm pulling 73lbs at 28.5".
