New to me bow! (Shooting Commentary pg 2)
I just traded my old longbow for this Martin Hatfield T/D Recurve. Its 62" 55# @ 28.
I only shot a few arrows out of it as I don't have anything for a rest, yet. I'll probably try a flipper, its what the guy before me had on it. Oh, all 4 shots were dead nuts on. I need to do some major brace height adjustment and probably get a new string, but it feels really nice. It's maple & zebra wood. |

Nice looking bow, and it looks like you can mount a side quiver on it, Goodluck with it!!

Nice bow! Martin probably makes the best "production" bows on the market--some of the better bows period IMO. In case you were wondering, the grey wood in the riser is "actionwood".

RE: New to me bow! PIX too
I thought it was action wood because my other bow is grey aciton wood, but the guy I got it off of called it zebra wood, so I just figured they looked real similar. :)Thanks.
Actually LBR, I believe you are headed elk hunting with him. Small world eh? |
RE: New to me bow! PIX too
Did you get it from Bob V.? Or Bruce P.? If so, I am going on an elk hunt with them in Sep.
The tan wood with the brown stripes on the riser is zebrawood. The actionwood may be maple--it can be made from a few different woods as I understand it. Chad |
