Setting Natural Stains

I've been a traditional bowhunter for around 15 years, making all of my wooden arrows. I've tried several natural stains, such as polk berries, blackberries, etc. only to have them fade. Does anyone have experience using natural stains and finding a way to fix them so that they don't fade? Thanks, Tom

Try black walnut husks. I don't believe that'll fade.
