hello, im new to this and am getting ready to buy a recurve but then a question popped in my head, (see title)

As long as it's not abused, a good recurve can last many years. I was shooting tonight with a guy using a '69 vintage Bear Kodiak and I've got a '65 Wing Presentation II that's still going strong. And, honestly, they shoot just as goodas, if not better than, most new recurves.

Mine was made in '72 or '73. Still looks and shoots like new.

My carp bow is '60's vintage. My hunting bow is practically brand new. I bought it in the early '90's.

I have a late 60’s vintage Shakespeare recurve that I still shoot from time with no issues.

I have atwo made in the mid 60's and atwo made in the early 70's. All four are going strong.
