Bow Length for 30 " draw and Chek Mate Falcon

Hi,

Going to be buying my first recurve (been shooting compound for many years).

I have selected the Chek Mate Falcon for a bow, 50lb @28 (will be used for whitetail' s).

I have read a lot about " stacking." Will a 60" Falcon stack at my 30" draw length? Would you order a 64" model instead (long wait)?

Also, would you order the standard falcon which has a solid wood riser or the deluxe model which has a laminated riser?

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, Noah

30" is pushing it on the Falcon--you might get a little stack in the last inch of draw. You might be more comfortable with the 64" King' s Pawn.

The difference in the risers is primarily cosmetic, but the Special and Deluxe do have a bit more mass weight, and look quite a bit nicer (not that the deer will care).

As Chad said and if you are shooting 30" with a compound, your draw length might be an inch or two shorter with the curve. It depends on your style of anchor and most find their draw length does tend to be shorter with traditional equipement. Just something to check. Don
