RE: I found a recurve.
The compound spine chart will be way off for that bow--go lighter in spine. Any arrow material will work fine--wood, aluminum, or carbon--as long as they weigh enough and the spine is correct. You want at least 8 grains of arrow weight (finished arrow) per pound of draw weight. For instance, if you are pulling 50# you want an arrow that weighs at least 400 grains--heavier is fine. Not usually a problem except with heavier draw weights and carbon arrows--then you go to weighting systems, heavy points, etc.

Yeah thats a good site. I'm not into longbows myself but I am sure that there are others who are.
