Beaver Balls....
Yep went from cat whiskers to Beaver Balls! I really couldn't notice any difference. I had to mess with my brace height a bit and nock point but as far as string noise, no difference! My bow is very quiet without any silencers on the string as is but now at least the Beaver Balls looks cool....;):D:D:D
What are you guys using on your strings? |
RE: Beaver Balls....
Terantchulas (sp). They look like a spider.

RE: Beaver Balls....
I got lucky.... the bow I bought from Matt/PA came with a custom string with those on it already. They do look awesome, don't they?

RE: Beaver Balls....
Cat whiskers for me. Love the looks of fur, but use what works best. Besides silencing better, rubber doesn't hold water, scent, burrs, etc........

RE: Beaver Balls....
I'm going to try some "Hush Puppies" (Wool) and Bow Hush on my Black Widow in a couple weeks. I have catwhiskers on there now but I think they look hideous on a nice recurve. I also have some calf hair string groove silencers but hope to replace those nasty things with the Bow Hush product.
We'll see. LOL:D |
RE: Beaver Balls....
Cat whiskers.I have a few bows I bought that have fur on them but they'll get changed out come hunting season

RE: Beaver Balls....
I always come back the the cat whiskers. Fairly cheap and effective. I have beaver balls on my selfbow, and on a longbow, but there is better out there.
