The buck dressed out 210lbs and scored 140 1/8 net P@Y. The (doe) is actually a doe fawn. It was my first ever deer, I shot it when I was 13 years old with my Martin Lynx Compound and dad said to me your 1st deer is going on the wall regardless of what it is. That doe fawn mount is 20 years old, looks like I got it yesterday yet!! Good Taxidermy work gets you that. Thanks for the comments Alpha!! I've always wondered, do you shoot both Trad and compound?

That's such a great buck Schultzy!:) I love that style rack.

You know I think there are only 3 of us who entered a buck in the HNI contest killed with a recurve or longbow? You , me and one guy with a longbow from PA I think?

I could be wrong but I think thats it out of the 100+ taken. [:-]:)

I don't think I was around soon enough for the contest, I joined in Late September. Either way though 3 out of 100+ is pretty crazy. Most of the guys I hunt with are Traditional shooters, we get a few nice bucks here and there. We can get er done too right Matt!! Congrats to you too!!

Oh yours wasn't a contest buck!? Man I thought it was, my bad.........ok so there were 2 of us, you dont count. LOL:D:D
I guess I'll have some more opportunities over the years here in PA but man I wish we had consistent opportunities at real quality bucks like these. Nowhere to go but down now! ;)
As it is I'll be thrilled to take any legal animal with it though, hunting here in Pa anymore has gone beyond body counts.

Schultzy. Although the mount is awesome, the picture is better. Great smile, great animal, good layout of the animal and bow. No blood, no guts, no tongue, no disrepect! These days it all too common to see gore in pictures. That's just so cool to see the way you presented the trophy!

Thanks Dnk! That means allot!! I actually made a thread half way through the deer season this year about photo's people were posting that were full of blood, tounges hanging out, etc! I caught heck from allot of people for asking them to clean there pics up so it looks good to the non hunters. I also had allot of support too and surprisingly allot of guys said they never looked at it that way but from now on they were going to clean there animals up the best they could. Thanks again Dnk!!
