What is your max range with a trad bow?

Just curious to see what other traditional shooters maximum, most comfortable range is. I don't mean a lucky shot, or shooting 20 arrows at a single target, single distance, and finally hitting it. I mean the distance that you are 90% + or know that you wont wound an animal. Uphill, downhill, standing, kneeling, tree stand, wind, etc. Mine is 15 yards, probably pretty short compared to most. What'syours?

For the most part its 20 yards for me. Some days its not even 20 yards, it really depends on how I'm shooting that particular day. 17 yards and under I've been deadly with my recurve on all my shots at animals so far but one, shot over a doe's back. If I'm shooting unbelievably awesome I'll stretch it out to 20 to 25 yards maybe, it really depends how I feel at the time. The farthest shots I've taken were 22 yards, both were deer and both were walking when I shot them, I double lung hearted both of them, I felt damn good about them two! They definitely have to be closer shooting these Traditional bows compared to the compounds, thats a big part of the challenge though shooting these awesome bows and thats what makes it so much fun and addicting to me.

Mine ispretty muchthe same as Schultzy's, 22-24 yd. After that I have to start consciously compensating for arrow drop rather than just focusing on the "spot".

This past year it was 15 yds, butI am really hoping to push that to 20 yds for deer and maybe 25 for elk.

18 yards. There is some sort of mental block past there on game. I am confident and consistent at 18 yards and under.

Maximum range depends on the bow/arrow combination for me. With my CheckMate Falcon (49# @ 28") it's 65 yards.
Can't hit much between 20 & 65, but by using the tip of the arrow as an aiming reference (gap shoot with the tip dead-on) I can hit targets @ 65 yards & amaze onlookers. :D
For serious hunting 20 - 25 yards would be my max today. When my shoulder was in good shape and I shot 65 - 70# bows I could be pretty consistant out to 40 yards or so, but it took a lot of years of shooting almost every day to get there.
