Newbie with arrow question
Forgive my ignorance, but I guess you never know until you ask...or you destroy a dozen arrows trying to figure out the answer. Anyhow, which direction is your cock fletch supposed to facing when shooting off the shelf? I believe it supposed to facing away from the riser, correct? Traditional arrows are fletched exactly like standard compound arrows except depending on your rest the nock can be turned, right?

RE: Newbie with arrow question
just turn it out. and make sure you're shooting feathers, long ones at that. dont mess with that 2" junk. 5" will get it stabilized quick.

RE: Newbie with arrow question
If your shooting 3 fletch yes the cock feather has to be pointing opposite the shelf. Redue your nock on the arrow and you will be set.

RE: Newbie with arrow question
Some people like it out (most), some like it in. Some like it both ways. [&:]
I know Fred Eichler like them in. Try then both out and see what works better for you. |
RE: Newbie with arrow question
As far as arrow flight goes, if the arrows are tuned to the bow I haven't seen a difference. You will get more feather wear if you get more feather contact (i.e., cock feather in).
I've seen folks shoot cock feather in for tuning purposes when the spine was a little off. Chad |
RE: Newbie with arrow question
I've experimented shooting mine both ways and saw no real difference at all.

RE: Newbie with arrow question
