RE: Fred Bear Kodiak Magnum
i dont have one but have shot one
its a good bow...some guys like them...some guys hate them...the design has been around for Many Many years...and that pretty much speaks for itself...ifit didnt work that design would have been****canned along time ago. just make sure you have atleast 45-50#s or so of drawight if your going after hogs,deer....you'll be in fine shape |

If I somehow wind up with enough Cabela's gift cards this X-Mas I am picking one up just with the intention of taking it to WY to use in a groundblind for antelope. I have a pretty long draw length and my buddy's KMag at 55/28 is stretched to the limit and starts to stack right at my 30.5" DLbut still very shootable and should be a dream in a blind.
I just don't think my 62" Black Widow is gonna make it comfortably. (Besides I've wanted one for a while now anyway ;)) |
RE: Fred Bear Kodiak Magnum
More of a specialty bow IMO. I don't care for short bows myself--finger pinch, less forgiving, generally more picky about tuning, and I have a long draw. They are nice in tight spots, but I don't fit in tight spots myself, so I don't worry too much about that. I have a ground blind I can shoot my 66" longbow from comfortably.

love both of mine, Iam 6" 2" and have no issue with a 28" draw, super easy to handle and fast!!!

I got one, sweetest darn bow i could dream of! Does pinch the fingers some since it is so short but that really dont bother me, great manuverability in ground blinds and such plus its a great shooter!
