I use hot-melt also. Have yet to have a tip come off. (field tip or broadhead)
One thing about using hot-melt is that you can switch heads whenever you want just by reheating. If you use epoxy, there is no switching.
This gives me the opportunity to practice with field tips and put my broadheads on my best flying arrows.

Well, I should probably clarify just a little on removing an epoxy cemented head; you can remove it with heat but you need to use some extra caution because it takes a little more heat then it does with the hot melt glue. If you're not careful you can overheat the ferrule of your BH. So to be safe, if you think you're going to be changing the heads on your shaft with frequency then you'd be better served with hot melt glue.
