I also vote for the Flemish Twist strings, especially for the older traditional bows - easier on the bow, quieter, softer, look more complimentary, folks like 'em - AND they are fun to make. FWIW

It appears to be a personal prefference issue. I have yet to learn how to make either type but have plans on learning the endless loop first. I think the key is stick to what you are comfortable with.

flemished strings are my preference. I love making them i love the feel of them and I like the looks which is just as important to me.

But whatevery does the trick is what you should use.
