Update: Damon Howatt bow

Well I have decided to purchase the bow. From email I have found out it is a Howatt Hunter E 62" 45lbs@28in. with zebra wood on the belly side and tips, a strip of a lighter wood(mabye yew) and two wide pieces of rosewood with a thinner strip of the same lighter wood between them. What I need to know now is the prefferred method of striping the old finish without effecting the lamination glue?

Shoot straight, aim well,
and tell tall tales to
good friends.

Minwax makes a product called Antique Wood Restorer. Basically it's a mild stripper that you use with steel wool. Unfortuntely, it will also take off any lettering on the bow, so you'd want to avoid those areas.
