Shot a Blackwidow
Holy cow, I went to Matt/PA's house to buy another bow, and shot his black widow. It felt nice and fast and shockingly quiet. Wished I didn't shoot it. Now look at my dreamcatcher with a different look.

I got spider-bit a few years back.It hasn't been the same since:)

RE: Shot a Blackwidow
Only thing I didn't like, was it was about 3 times heavier than my dreamcatcher. But I guess thats why it was so quiet.

RE: Shot a Blackwidow
The t/d's have some weight to them but they are very stable shooters.I have a PSAX t/d and a TFV 1-pc.The grips are the same and they shoot very much alike, but the TF is much lighter

I just got done shooting about 50 arrows off her tonight Mark.........it never gets old.;)
You will never look at the tradtional archery classified sitesthe same way again. Just for reference sake: (cause I know you're trying to justify it. LOL) The model you shot was an SA V "Ironwood" 62", 57# @ 29". It's a little under 62# at my 30.5" draw length. |
RE: Shot a Blackwidow
Gotta agree with ya on that,Matt.I just got my new Northern Mist Baraga longbow,64",55#@27",that I ordered back in May at the Baltimore shoot this past Friday and although it's a beautiful bow and a great shooter-it just doesn't give me that "warm, fuzzy" feeling like my Widows

Actually looking at a ironwood longbow one piece they sell. At 66" and 55#. |
RE: Shot a Blackwidow
If you are looking atbuying used, my advice would be to shy away from the older model longbow--big difference in it and the newer style, at least in the ones I've shot.
