Okay, it is time to school me in lore information. What is the difference between a flemish and continuous loop string? I know what continuous loop means but what is a flemish?

Well, I ain't a pro by any stretch of the imagination, but I think I can handle this one. I'm actually not sure where the term &quot;Flemish&quot; came from, but the string is made up of individual strands all twisted together. Most consist of two or three bundles, which are twisted and counter-twisted to form the loops. It works like the old Chinese finger traps we used to get at the fair when we were kids--the more you pull on it, the tighter it gets, although there is not a braid or knot in it. Finished product (with two colors anyway) looks kinda like a barber pole--the &quot;Z-twist&quot; compound string looks like an offshoot of a Flemish.
