Homemade Leather Equipment!!!
This is my first try at leather work, but I think it turned out really well. I made them both the armgaurd and the tab out of tanned moose hide. The armgaurd works well for the little 25# indian bow I'm holding and sure takes the sting out of it. I just shoot it for fun, but may be upgrading to a hunting recurve soon. I made the tab because I shoot left handed and didn't have one in left so I traced the one I had backwards to give me a left handed tab. Here are some pics:

RE: Homemade Leather Equipment!!!
I just shot for about an hour using my new equipment, and it worked awesome. My fingers don't hurt and throb like they used to and my forearm has no marks or bruises anywhere. I would like to have better accuracy though[8D][8D].

you should hunt small game with your little bow instead of shooting it for fun. small game hunting is fun and a decent challenge, it provides food if your bored like me, I would use it for a more greater purpose it deserves than shooting for fun, later

Well, I like to shoot it for fun. AndI believe it serves a great purpose providing me enjoyment. I hunt with a bigger bow that I am more accurate with. There are no small game seasons open where I live right now. But they open up in the fall and I may try to harvest a rabbit or two with it then.

I do have fun, butI am using the wrong arrows. The fletching on them are vanes and they hit the riser when shot, throwing the arrow of it's path. I plan on buying some cedar arrows with feathers next time I go to the pro shop.
