slip cover?
How do I transport my bow when I take it to shoot (New longbow owner)? Any way to protect it?
I reserve the right to ask millions more questions! |
RE: slip cover?
Jeff,
I have this one and it fits everything from my Montana longbow to all of my recurves perfectly. You can leave them strung and just pop them out and shoot. Also you can pick up the optional arrow box to put in the side pouch to keep them safe and out of the way as well. Works great! http://www.3riversarchery.com/Product.asp?c=43&s=193&p=0&i=4091X |
RE: slip cover?
That's good. Or you can just go with a bow sock. My wife won't even let me buy one of those. She just gets some camo fleece and whizzes it through the sewing machine.;)

RE: slip cover?
For transporting my one piece longbows, I just use a bow sock. I usually don't string the longbow till I'm ready to use them, thenI unstring them when not in use. If I have to travel far or send them, I use a 6" PVC tube with the bow inside a sock.
I use something like Matt's for my recurves which I leave strung pretty much all the time. |
RE: slip cover?
Arthur,
Funny story to that case......... We had an equipment auction at a big 3D shoot this spring. Bunch of techie compound guys.;) That case came up for auction and you could hear crickets chirping. The bidding started at $10,and as I tried to play it cool, ENDED at $10. LOL :D Even better was the matching arrow case (the exact one 3 Rivers sells for this case) that I snagged for $1.........ONE BUCK![:-] So I got the case and arrow box for a grand total of $11. (Wanna hear something even more sick than that? I picked up a brand new pack of Simmons 160gr Landsharks for a whopping $5) So I got, oh.........$130ish worth of crap? for $16. :) |
