Do Limbskins Increase Draw Weight????
Hey.Today I applied my own homemade limbskins on my small game 30#,30 draw length, at 50" tall hunting bow. I drew back to about 25" andI expierienced a tighter more heavier draw weight than usual. I believe the draw weight increased to about 35#, which I dont mind, the higher the better, even though 30# is a decent strong weight. But I was wondering if any of you guys have ever applied limbskins and if it was suppost to increase the draw weight. Thanks.

RE: Do Limbskins Increase Draw Weight????
Im no expert here by any means asI am new to "Trad" archery, but I don't think the purpose of limbskins is to add draw weight. I beleive their purpose is to camouflage unnatural colours. They might take away arrow speed but that I am not for sure on. It just seems to me like they would slow the limbs down on the power stroke and in turn slow down the arrow.
