Headed to the ATAR
 

Got an anniversary tomorrow, haven't hadareal vacation in years, so the wife and I (and my son) are going to take a short vacation/road trip. Leaving out early in the a.m., gonna' see the sights along the way, plan to arrive in WV Thursday or Friday and attend the Appalachian Traditional Archery Rendevous. This will be my first time at this one--really looking forward to it!

I'm at a hotel just outside of Bristol, TN right now--we made several stops along the way yesterday, will arrive in Beckly sometime this afternoon.

Dale, look me up Friday or Sat--I'm easy to spot. Big guy with a bad wheel(brace on my left ankle). John at the Sipsey River tent can point me out--probably hang out there some.

As it stands, we plan to leave Saturday afternnoon so I can catch the second leg of the TN Triple Crown in Crossville. Thought that one was a lost cause, but if I leave the ATAR Sat. we can make that one too. Third leg will be at my "home" club in Collierville, TN. Already shot the first one at the TN Classic in Clarkesville.

Ya'll have a great weekend! Have to agree--I am a lucky man!

Had a ball! Had one of "those days" when I shot Friday--just couldn't get in the groove--heard I came in third in primitive in spite of that though. Shot the second leg of the TN Triple Crown yesterday, got first in longbow and third in primitive (tied for second, but I had the first dropped point). Wore slap out, but we all had a great time. Heard my son may have placed at the ATAR also.
