Split
robin hoodedmy first arrow(alluminum) witha traditional bow(Chek-mate Falcon) monday....15yard shot.....drilled the 2016 with a 175 grain about 6 inches inside of the other one....i wonder what the averageprobabillity of an average shooter getting a robin hood at this distance with a trad bow. i didnt have a target loaded with arrows either i shot two good shots and on my 3rd drilled my arrow.....all i know is that your arrow needs to be flying strait and you have to hit that nock dead center.

RE: Split
I've shot literally hundreds of thousands of arrows over the past 52 years and I've only got 7 robinhoods with my traditional bows. All but one of those came between 35-60 yards. That one was at 20... first two shots from a brand new half dozen 2216's. [:@]
I've done 8 with my compounds, just for the record. ;) Just going by my own experience, I'd say the odds are pretty darn low. [8D] |
RE: Split
Cool--something nice to hang on the wall (where folks can't help but see it)!
I'd say the odds are pretty low too, especially with just two arrows in the target. I've only shot.........4 or 5, I think. Every one of them has been wood or carbon, so no converstaion piece to hang up here. My son (12)got his first a few weeks ago, and it worked out great--he's shooting carbons on his recurve, and the point split and stuck in the nock, but didn't split the arrow. I took the nock and point out--think I'll frame them. Got the proof, and got both arrows back in service! Chad |
