Gap shooting

How many of you all gap shoot?

I started out that way, and still gap on long shots (40+ yds).

For the most part, yes. Close-in shots, like bowfishing, I still find myself shooting instinctively. Past that, it's gap shooting all the way.

I do the same, using the Howard Hill 'split vision' indirect gap on the longer stuff and instinctive on the close shots. But I've learned in the past year that I also visualize the trajectory of the arrow. In 3D tournaments I've gotten into situations where I knew if I split THAT weed or clipped off THAT leaf, that the arrow would center the 10 ring, and it happened. Well, more often than not anyway.
