Question on flemish recurve strings???
 
i have just got a flemish string in the mail and i have already put it on my bow, but after a few shots i noticed that the strands arwe already breaking..........any tips???

when you make a flemish string,the lengths on the ends are varying lengths.When the loop is being made and being twisted and braided,these short ends can come thru the braid.wax the string on the braids and work it in with a piece of leather.I'm pretty sure this is what you're seeing and not actual breakage

well you will see the string ends a few inches below the loops because they drop strands when they finishthe string loops....thats why the string should have a tapered look to itby the loops....this is normal....if you have broke strands in the actual string bundles down from the loop ends like in the middle of the string thats not good and dont use that string

edit me and jim were posting at the same time...hes saying the same thing in different words.....if it bothers you you can trim those ends off with clippers as well as what jim said...me i just leave mine .
