depends on what type of bow you have. I have a selway limb bolt rawhide bolt on quiver and like it. I hade a selway slide on a falcon before that andit was solid, a little bulky. I have never tried a strap on before because I perfer a quiver on the bow for hunting and it stays on all year while stumping I use a back quiver or a tube quiver I made to carry more arrows. Good luck.

I've got a take-down recurve. I've got a detachable Delta quiver that uses the limb bolts to anchor the mounts. The quiver detaches from the mounts. The quiver is extremely quiet and for me improves the balance of the bow. It almost acts like a stabilizer.

Personally, I don't use any on the bow. I might use one if I had it on all year. But I feel that it thoughs the balance of the bow off a bit.

Selway on recurves, nothing on longbows.

I use a back quiver. I don't like quivers on my bows.

I use a hip quiver after trying almost every different style on the market. Haven't found the perfect one yet, but this one works best for me. I want to try a Simmons rotary quiver eventually.

I don't like a quiver on my bow either--makes if feel off balance.

On my widow I have a rawhide selway bolt on, on my wing I have a wing six arrow, on my Saxon Selkirk I use a rubber slide on selway, on my Saxon longbow I use a Rawhide selway slide on, I have two Great Northern strap ons that I use on other bows and inter-change form time to time, along with a CatQuiver II. My girlfriend uses a hip quiver, a CatQuiver copycat, she perfers not to have a quiver on her longbow or recurve. I have played with shooting my bows without a quiver a lot over the last two years, I like the feel of a quiver on my bows, and love having extra arrows at my beck and call. I like to carry a small game arrow or two in my quiver as I get a chance to take a considerable amount of small game.

I just bought a 3 arrow strap on quiver off ebay called a 3 arrow Cherokee by Eagles Flight Archery. This is my first trad quiver and so far I haven't been able to tell any difference shooting with or without it. I keep it full of arrows minus one to simulate a shot on an animal. I also have a Rancho Safari CAT II and a Bohning 3 arrow quiver that I use with my Bow Tech. I like the three arrow bow mounted quivers because they are small and light enough not to effect your shooting, but big enough to hold the goods
