Important lesson
With my new recurve, I was having all sorts of porposing issues. I bareshaft tuned, and finally moved to paper tuning. No matter where I put my nocking point, I always got a high tear. Too low, its bouncing of the riser, to high, just a high tear.
Someone on tradgang suggested two nocking points. Sure enough, that fixed it. I guess where I shoot 3 under, that arrwo slips down on the shot. I went and shot my longbow, and noticed I had two on it already. I forgot about that. I plan to take off these brass nocks and put on some serving material instead. |
RE: Important lesson
Just another reason to shoot split![8D] Just kidding--good advice. I have two on my longbow right now, but really haven't noticed any difference. Got to tinker with something though........

I have never been able to shoot good split. I always wanted too. But now everytime I try, I hit way high

RE: Important lesson
I don't really understand what is being talked about. (laughing) I'm thinking that two brass nocks are used to bracket the aroow nock to hold the arrow in place?
