RE: Recurve question

DG3, welcome it's good to see you here.

Sorry to hear about your friends bow. Out of curiosity, who made the bow? I'm sure that there is someone out there that can make a set of limbs for the bow. However, it might not be worth the cost to do so as it could be very expensive.

There are custom T/D bows on the market today that can be purchased for the price he may have to pay just to get a set of limbs made for it.

RE: Recurve question

Your best bet would be to just start emailing or calling a few bowyers and get thier opinoin. Most likely they can not make a new set of limbs as they dont have the same bow forms. But Ric Anderson of Marriah Bows has been known to help people out with problems like that.
What brand of bow was your friend shooting?

RE: Recurve question

I know that Schafer(Silvertip)has made limbs for bows other than their own however, the wait and cost for someone to do this might be alot more than your friend wants to get involved in.For the same money (or less) there are a number of great custom bows availible,I paid less that $350.00 for my Chek-Mate hunter II as an example. Food for thought----Cam <img src=icon_smile_cool.gif border=0 align=middle>
