Me and the Widow, doin' our thang.........:D
(If I remember correctly those arrows are almost31.75" long and they look small :D) |
RE: Uh Oh.......Spaghettios
And another......man I need a tan.[:-]LOL
(I think I had just released the arrow on this one.....the left arrow was from the long stake for fun atabout 38yds, and the better one was from here, about 22-23yds. If you look close you can see them side by side) |

RE: Uh Oh.......Spaghettios
Hey, Matt.
Nice looking Widow. ![]() Saw your post here and decided to check it out. I have shot recurves since 02' and love them Unfortunately, I injured both my arm and shoulder so can't shoot them anymore. :( You remind me of Rick Welch in that one pic of you at full draw. Looks a lot like his two point anchor. I always used Rick's two point anchor and had great success with it. Good luck and good shooting with your new Widow. Sag. |
RE: Uh Oh.......Spaghettios
Hey Sag--glad to see you are still around! Hate that about the injury--any chance you will be able to get back in the game?

RE: Uh Oh.......Spaghettios
Thanks, Chad.
Don't know if I will ever shoot another recurve or not but hope to someday. I had to sell my Trails End recurves because theywere too heavy in the draw weight. Kept the Dakota recurve Rick Welch built for me because it's only a 53lb draw weight and, hopefully, I can shoot it again if I heal welland am strong enough. It's a real bummer, not to be able to shoot, as you can imagine. ![]() Sag. |
RE: Uh Oh.......Spaghettios
Honestly I can't imagine--hope I never have to find out! I love it too much--shot at two state shoots with either an air cast or a hard cast on my leg, been to a couple of shoots on crutches--if I can hobble around the course, I'll giveit a try! Actually won the GA state shoot in an air cast a few years ago--had to leave the crutches behind because they were more hinderance than help in the woods.
Hang in there, you'll have a bow back in your hands. No shame in starting back with a super light draw weight either--at least you will be flinging arrows! Chad |
