vintage bear recurve
 
i have an old bear recurve. its called the green fox and i have been having trouble finding info on it like how old it is and what length of string to get for it. the bow is 56" and has a draw weight of 45#. thats about all i know. any info would be appreciated.

Talk to Chad (LBR) he makes strings and answered all of my questions. I dont know if he can help you with the bow, but he can help you with the string.

The Green Fox was in the 1969 Bear catalog. Fox bows were discontinued in 1972. Or, at least, the line was renamed in '72(Brown Bear, Red Bear, etc) because Bear kept making solid glass bows long after that. It'll take a standard 56" AMO dacron string.
