Default recurve arrows

I am new to traditional bowhunting and was wandering if I can just take the arrows I used on my compound and use them for a recurve, or are there special arrows for those?

I don't know the poundages you are using or the arrow material. But you will probably be way overspined using the compound arrows for your recurve. Could be even to the point of being dangerous. I'd suggest using Foxfire Archeryor Adcocks Spine Chart as a starting point for your recurve.

I'll add that two things that get overlooked are arrow weight and nock fit. Most bowyers/manufacturers recommend at least 8 grains of arrow weight per pound of bow weight--for example, if you are pulling 40# you want a finished arrow weight of at least 320 grains.

On the nocks, you don't want a super tight fit--it will affect flight and rob you of energy.
