New to the recurve...?
 

I now have my first recure ever and shot it for the first time last night and believe I might be addicted. Coming from shooting a compound for 7 yrs I am very surprised on how much I liked it.

I was wondering how to keep it in good shape and how to shoot it accurately? Do I take the string off after shooting and what is the easiest and safest way to do that? Thanks for any help!

nknute, it is very addicting isn't it. Just don't overdo it. Remember quality is much more important then quantity. Also, don't get into the rut of just shooting groups at the same target.

I usually keep my recruves strung up. If you want to remove the string make sure you get a recurve stringer. You'll need one anyway to adjust your brace height.It is easy to damage the recurve if you don't use one.
